“My passion has always been rallying, as I grew up in Northumberland about 20 minutes away from the route of the RAC Rally. Richard Burns was one of the people who inspired me to get into rallying as a profession, so I trained as a race and rally engineer and am currently working in the BTRDA 1400 class. My other passion has always been cross-country events, which is why I am undertaking the Great North Run, based in my home city of Newcastle, in aid of the Richard Burns Foundation. I’m looking to raise at least £1000, which I think is a realistic target.”
